The Martel group provides advice and expertise in communications to all types of companies.
We have a well-founded reputation for advising companies about participating in collaborative European Union funded telecommunications research and development programmes. We have managed some of the largest research projects in broadband networks, agent technologies, multi-media applications and Internet Quality of Service.
We also perform traditional consultancy work in areas such as Internet, access networks and general communications technology.
We were founded in Bern, Switzerland (as Martel GmbH) and also have a UK-based company (Martel Europe) so that we can deliver service across Europe.
Martel has focussed on managing and taking part in telecommunications research & development projects within the European Union’s IST Programme (Information Society Technologies) and, before that the ACTS Programme (Advanced Communication Technologies & Services) and the RACE programme.
We have co-ordinated the creation of new projects with major European organisations in these programmes. We manage a number of these projects and are actively involved in others.
